I have been looking for a 996 and was looking at a 1999. I was talking to one of my buddies today and he told me to log on his computer at his shop and look through the dealer auctions which he belongs to. I found a 2003 gt2 turbo car hit in the door and rear quarter. Where can these parts be found? It doesn't look like there is any frame damage. What are these cars worth when fixed (which I would be fixing it for myself). The car has 11,000 miles on it.

You're living on the edge buying a 996 hit in the rear. You do know that's where the engine is right? (lol) A great place for parts is LA Dismantlers http://911pcar.com/

Where you live will also have a big effect on the value of a GT2, although reselling a high end smashed car like that can be difficult period.

What ever you do DO NOT GO TO LA Dismantlers, these guys are bad news. I've read some real bad reviews on them. And they can be very rude. I live in Southern California and have first had knowledge of this. I've been to their yard.

I agree wth Dayton....L.A. Dismantlers has a bad rep amongst the Porsche crowd. I'd try either SilverStar Dismantlers, or Oklahoma Foreign....Google them for contact info. I've bought fuel pumps and other 930 parts from Oklahoma and they've always stood behind their sales....they also work with you on prices. L.A. is overpriced and if you do a search on the name, you can make up your own mind about their reputation.

Yes we have had good and bad press (quite a few recommendatios as well). Only reason is we have never blogged so they have gone unnoticed. Everyone loves to attack behind a back when they think someone is not listening. We have had a few bad apples working for us over the years. You'd be suprised to know we sell to a large number of Porsche dealers, their body shops and other yards since we have the largest inventory. Some of you have made up your minds and that is fine, not trying to sway anyone. Just pointing out that there are two side to every story. We are just a family business supporting the Porsche brand and their drivers.
