I have an 04 996 cab and want to replace the cabin/pollen filter. Not sure if I need charcoal activated or not... Sticker says "Carbon Filtered Ventilation System" and the label in the hood does NOT have the option code 571. So, is this charcoal activated or not?

Carbon filtered vent. system means that the cabin filter is treated, you have always the option to install the paper cabin filter which is cheaper, it's your choice.

I'm trying to find the charcoal cabin filter for an 04 996. I think the 997 part of now what is meant to be used. Is this the correct part number:

That is correct. MSRP US $77.24

You might want to try Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) - I am sure their price is much better.
