Hi All

This is my first post on this fantastic site.

I am wanting to remove the drivers side door handle - the exterior unit with lock barrel and all.

I have searched and found a procedure on removing the inner door card, but wondered if anyone can help with the removal of the handle assembly itself

Many Thanks

Matt

btw

its a 2001 2.7 986.

The handle is fixated with two nuts on the inside of the door and by the connector lock-- handle, pull the black plastic part of the connector to the back and than downwards to separate, loose the two nuts and pull the handle out. The outside door handle is twin piece made, the painted handle + plate and the blank metal back plate with the cylinder lock and extension. The back plate and the cylinder lock is a one piece construction.

Thanks for the detailed response RFM - much appreciated!
