I've tried to find Mobile 0W40 at about 5 auto parts stores in Northern Cal, where can you find this stuff? Kragen had it by the quart, but only had 6 in stock, and when I asked them about buying a complete case, they were too stupid to figure out how to do it and order it. Any place on the web to order this stuff from? Any local places you know of? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

perhaps as here in Australia the "fail safe" source is the local area Mobil Distributor

We are able to purchase it here in 5ltr containers at most Mobil S Stns and most discount Parts/Accessory stores

ExxonMobil are very poor retail Marketers in my opinion!

Regards

Doug

Between Wall Mart, Auto Zone and Kragen, I was able to obtain 10 quarts of Mobile 0W40. That will get me by for now, took half a day to get enough oil found to get started. Hopefully next time I can find it all in one place and in the big containers. Thanks all.

It seems many of these places don't keep a lot this oil around. I went to 3 different Autozones and a Pep Boys around my area and only able to get a total of 5 quarts. I finally found one store (Strauss Auto Parts) that had a lot in stock (place was off the beaten path where it didn't have a lot of business). No matter where I went though, they all sold it for the same price $6.99 per quart.
