Went into work this morning and when I closed the door on the car the window had already gone up?

If I pull the handle inside or outside the window goes down a fraction like it should, but if I let go of the handle the window pops up even with the door still open. This is not correct, so now I have to shut the door with the handle up and synchronize letting go of the handle when the door is in the correct position.

Any ideas to what has happened? What have I broken?

Regards,

Neil

Just the driver side? Well it seems the micro switch is working (at least partially), perhaps just re-train the windows:

6452 Power windows Problem Remedy

Manually close each power window as

far as it will go, then press the rocker

switch for closing the window again.

The limit position of the respective power

window is now stored in the control

module again.

If not the micro switch may be bad.

Tried the re-training it didn't help. Where is the micro switch fitted and how bad a job is it to change. Could a DIY'er like myself fix it?

Regards,

Neil

If you got the same result when pulling on the outside or inside door handle be sure that the door lock is faulty. You have to change the lock, you can do it by yourself if you are handy. There are two critical points, the insert of the door lock cylinder extension and the outside door handle connection. There is a lot of information to dismount the door trim on this forum.
