Is it a truth that when you dont lock Porsches doors the engine hour counter ,counts hours of use on ECU?

Authorised seller told me that

meaned operating hours counts

an official porsche seller told me because of the problem that some second hand car sellers let tha cars in the shop without locking with the remote key and afterwords the buyers tell that operating hours can not be so high with such a low millage.

I am very sure he is wrong.

Using my PST2 - here is a printout from one of my cars in August 17, 2006 and a second printout is from (the same car) today January 3, 2008.

If you notice there is a difference of 50.5 hours.

This car is in the garage unlocked better than 95% of the time. Considering there are roughly 8760 hours in a year the DME clock could not have continued to run and only recored 50.5 hours.
