How do I order a PPI for a car that is 50 miles away?

Hello,

I am considering a Pcar located 50 miles from my house but want to have a Pre Purchase Inspection done (thanks Loren for the tip). It is my first time going through the process and have no idea how it works. Will the dealer just let me drive the car away to a shop or will the company I hire perform the inspection at the dealer's place? I got in touch with the PCA from the area the car is in and am awaiting response.

What is the easiest way to get this stuff done? I am not considering buying the car without it, but on the other end there is some pressure to close the deal...

DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR BECAUSE SOMEONE IS APPLYING PRESSURE! It doesn't matter what the car is or how good a deal you think you may be getting, you should only buy a car because you feel comfortable that you are getting the car you want.

After all, isn't it reasonable to suppose that the more pressure the dealer applies, the more likely it is that is THEY who are getting the good deal and not you.

Take your time, get a proper PPI done and buy it when you feel satisfied with your decision to close the deal on your (substantial) purchase.

If, for some reason this one goes away, I guarantee you a better one will come along. I never believed my father when he would tell me this throughout the decades of buying cars, but I now know from experience that truer words have never been spoken.

Also, take into account that at this particular time, at the beginning of the winter season in the northeast, you are the one who is in the driver's seat (figuratively speaking, of course).

The more you detach yourself from the pressure this dealer is trying to apply, to more you will enjoy the experience of being a new (for you) Porsche.
