The check engine light came on last night for the very first time after 39k miles in my 03 Boxster. Went to Autozone this morning and the car gave me the P0455 code. Based on some of the posts I have read, it appears that it can be as simple as replacing the gas cap. Has anybody encountered something else that they want to share?

Thanks

P0455 Fuel Tank Ventilation System (Major Leak) - Below Limit

Did you find the cause of the error and correct it? I have the same error on my 99 996.

In my case I replaced the gas cap and it now occurs very infrequently and I clear it with my OBD 2.

I dont think there is really a leak because when I open the cap it hisses with the air rushing in.

I am thinking about replacing the sensor. Loren has a picture on another post but its hard to tell where it is and what it takes to change it.
