Hello Loren;

Would you please help me by providing option list on my US 996TT s? The VIN: WP0CB29915S675534.

There are two things that I am concern and the dealer has not provided satisfactory response.

1. There is no "Turbo S" logo on center inst dial and just say "turbo".

2. My car supposed to have exclusive option "Inst Dials Yelw Red Whit Blue" which cost $1270, however I don't see any difference with 996TT s which do not have this option.

Is this a possible mis build?

Thank you in advance.

Dr, I don't have the vin decoder (as Loren does), but TMK there are no OEM gages with Turbo S script on the gauge. As far as your dials, are they black? If not you have optional gages (perhaps white)

My instrument dials are red with aluminum gauge. I have looked at many 996TTs and all of them are similar to the pictures attached. However, on mine instead of "turbo s" it just say "turbo".

That is right. 2005 is the only year 996TT s was offered. Mine is also 2005. Based on my research I have not seen any other one without "Turbo S" LOGO on tachometer.

Thanks again for providing the option list. However, I am still concern about following:

"1. There is no "Turbo S" logo on center inst dial and just say "turbo".

2. My car supposed to have exclusive option "Inst Dials Yelw Red Whit Blue" which cost $1270, however I don't see any difference with 996TT s which do not have this option."

from my understanding, the instrument cluster is easily changable. Have you had the car since new?

I am the second owner and just bought the car. I asked the previous owner and he did not change anything.

The dealer tell me that "the custom tailoring option prevented the use of use of the"Turbo S" instrumetn cluster background" which does not make any sense. Also they have not provided explantion on the "Inst Dials Yelw Red White Blue" option".

I am also in touch with PORSCHE USA, they initially referred me to the Dealer but now are lookin into these matters themselves.

This is picture of instrument cluster of my car.

Perhaps I have solved part of the puzzle. When I look at pictures above I see that on my instrument dial the digits are allowing light through. ??????

You got me curious, so I just went out and turned on the lights in my 02TT and the numerals came on in yellow. I have the white faced gauges. I realize this doesn't help you much....but it is curious that your option specifically indicates yellow, white, blue.....which to me means that it could be either of those according to either the order from the customer or whatever Porsche decided to put on the car. It would appear that it would boil down to the color of the light bulbs that illuminated the dials.
