I would think if you want OEM Porsche equipment then go to a Porsche dealer. Check either Suncoast or Sunset Porsche. They seem to have the best prices.

If you want aftermarket then Google B&K for the bracket and SafeCraft for a neat Halon 2.5# extingusher w/ billet aluminum mount.

It would be worth checking with Sunset since I don't know if anything has changed in the last two months, but previously, dealers had no parts numbers or ability to order them.

Please let us know what you find out.

I had the factory setup in my car, but after I upgraded to the Carrera GT seats, the mount no longer fit. I went with the SafeCraft recommended above. I picked it up from Livermore Performance

Hopefully, I'll never have to find out whether it works or not!

Hi,

I have taken mine off a few times and it just srews to the seat. If

you have a stock seat, you should have the screw holes. I would

order it thru Suset Imports. I had to build a bracket for my Recaro racing seat.

Used some Tol-strut. A little heavy in weight but it works.

I have to admit I spent some time finding out where to fit the extinguisher in my new 997 GT3 RS. Finally I made a Google pic search and found a glimpse of an RS with extinguisher mounted in the middle of the co-driver footwell. Taking off the mat revealed the position of the extinguisher mounting holes. So, in a 997 GT3 just remove the co-driver mat to see if you can find the extinguisher position there, no matter which seats you may have.
