Does anyone have any information or direct experience on the replica wheels being sold on e-Bay and other direct sellers? They're made in Italy and supposedly "made in the same factory as RUF, Techart, and Gemballa".

I can't say for a fact that there are not Italian manufacturers of stock or upgrade Porsche wheels for the 987. There are 3rd party manufacturers. After some research (that you'll need to do to convince yourself as well) you'll likely find that there "Is No Substitute." I needed to replace a 18x9.5 wheel on my car. The 3rd party guys don't make that size. They have 18x10 and they'll tell you that "it's the same." ****, am I glad that I went with my instincts. Get the real deal. Spend some time talking to all of the companies that come up on a internet search of replacement Porsche wheels. You'll find that you can get the original equipment for 3 or 4 hundred dollars less/tire. Yes, that's still expensive but, don't spend good money after bad.

I just bought a set of Italian Replica 18 x 10 wheels to use as my winter wheels and the quality is awesome, fit and finish is perfect, but... they're def not hollow spoke cause they weigh more than my OEM 18 x11's . But they're perfect for winter wheels, they have a lifetime warranty and I understand why, they're def built well, very beefy. Do a Google for Finishline Wheels, that's where I bought mine for dirt cheap.

I saw those on Ebay as well. He had them on for $1299. from what I can tell he sold 1 set of 8.

I made him an offer of $500 and he counter offered at $849. It does't look like he has sold to many sets and now he has them at $2199. I think he is trying to play that old game of higher price will sell.

I have a 2007 Boxster and according to the seller they will fit.

I must say they do intrigue me ,but not at that price, even at $1299. I would take a chance at $500 as these wheels are not proven at this time

and no one as ever heard of them.
