Hi,

I feel a bit like a dummy. I wanted to take out the bose amp in the trunk (to check whether there is a battery or not!?!). I removed all the 'screws' but no movement. Could somebody please tell me what I did wrong (have been trying for over an hour!!)?

Thanks, frank

Not suite sure whether it is called an amp and not a speaker. Just to make sure: I meant the round thing with bose written on it located where normally spare wheels are located.

Cars with a Bose have no battery in the spare wheel room, the woofer takes the place.

How about the reverse? Anyone know how to hook up the Bose Subwoofer to the Factory Bose System in a 2004 CTT?

Well I know for a fact that I have a customer with a '04 Cayenne S that has a battery under the Bose drive in the rear. After you remove the 10mm nuts holding the unit just pull up on the sub drive, it has some metal clips that hold it onto the threaded studs.

PCS with BOSE have 2 batteries, the same like those that dont have the Bose , one is under the driver seat & the other is under the BOSE Subwoofer- this one is kept there like you said by 10mm nuts on the threaded studs.
