Muffler bypass Pipes


This is the install for muffler bypass pipes, from Ebay $200. All you need after getting the pipes is $2 pipe joints from an autopart store. The mufflers I have are DHL, and I have removed the mufflers before and re-installed them. If you have, hopefully you have installed the bolts that hold the mufflers to the brackets upside down. This allows for much easier removal and install of the bypass pipes. If you haven't, don't worry, now is a good time. 1. Get rear of the car up for easier ac

Any idea the diameter of the pipes? Instead of paying hundreds of dollars for what is essentially two pieces of bent pipe, I think I'll just drop $5 at Checker and do without the tips.

Can anyone tell me about the oxygen sensor when driving car without the cats on as in running straight pipes for the track if i'm not mistaken the sensors are in those pipes and if you can help me about sensor install if i make my own straight pipes i.e. is the distance from the exhaust valve relevant as in tuning pipes for rpm ? Thx tut

I made 2 stainless steel bypass pipes for my 2002 996 porsche and it sounds sweet, sounds like a GT3 cup car, fuel econamy has stayed the same, its a easy cheap mod :thumbup:

Just as future reference, you don't need to remove the bumper and I was able to remove mine in about 25 mins both sides only jacking up one side of the car, totally easy job .

Hi ..do I need to remove the rear bumper off my 2003 911 c4 cabra...to install exhaust cut offs...cheers Kevin OBrien..Vancouver Canada.

No, as the previous poster said removing the bumper is not necessary.
