I have problem with heated seat of my 2006 Boxster.

You can barely feel the heat in heated seat. It really does not matter

which setting is used. The warm or the hot setting you can feel

almost no heat. This problem is really noticeable with the top down.

I have taken my Porsche to the dealership, and the mechanic can’t find

Any error or fault in computer.

My previous 1997 Boxster seat was much, much warmer.

Do any one know if it is possible to increase the seat temperature.

And how to do it?

Franz, do both seats (driver and passanger) feel the same?

My seats get plenty hot. I also have an '06.

Compare your seats to another car at the dealership. If they feel the same. Too bad. If not, keep pushing the dealership to replace your seats or other parts.

Franz:

Do you have the same problem with both seats? If the passenger seat does get hot enough, you might try swapping out the heater control relays which are located under the seats.

Not sure if it's the same on a 2006 Boxster, but on the 986' the part number is 996 618 521 00 and it's relatively easy to pull out and swap. You don't have to pull the seats out, just unbolt them and lean them back. The relays (again on a 986) are held in place on the seat frame by a plastic rivet (that has a center pin that can just be pressed out and re-used) and connected with a connector plug.

Regards, Maurice.

The seats on my '06 get really warm. I can't keep it on hi for long at all. If you are wearing heavy clothing like a coat it will take a very long time for you to feel the heat. Sit in a Boxster at the dealer, turn them on and compare.

Thanks for the reply. I have sit in both side, and they feel same. The only comparison I can make is with 2007 Cayman S. The Cayman seat feel much, much warmer that my boxster. I will go to the dealership and compare it with another boxster.

Thanks

Franz

Seat heaters are a part of the ACC module for 997 and 987, reprogramming or change-out with an other one can help you out. Look like the heaters are working only on possition one, left and right as well.
