Hello all,

I've just taken delivery of an '03 C4S and I'm trying to fill in some gaps in its service history. I tried getting a service history printout from the local dealer but they claimed that they couldn't release that info "due to privacy reasons".....whatever.

Has anyone else had any luck getting this info from Porsche?

Thanks,

Ron

p.s. great forum by the way.....seems like a very knowledgable, helpful group! :)

Geldbrube, congrats on the new car!

The dealership should give the service records to you. As long as they don't give you the prior owners name, address, or credit card info, I don't see what the issue is.

Keep in mind, you can only get service records for that specific dealership. If the prior owner went to mutiple dealerships, you would need to get the records from each one. The dealerships are not linked, unless they are owned by the same person/company.

Did you purchase from the same dealership that did the service? If so, they should be more willing to work/help you with the service records. You might need to get higher in the food chain, at the dealership, to get the response you are looking for. Be persistant.

It is unfortunate that they are forgetting that you are also a future customer. You deserve to be treated better.
