When these Boxstir conversions show up on ebay some people make fun of them.

If you look at the spy report of what a 2010 might look like on the cover of November Road & Track, it looks something like what these folks in Florida have been doing for a few years.

It takes time and talent to do something like that. I will leave the taste up to you....

I agree, kit cars are an art and require a lot.

If that is what suits you go for it, but I personally don't really like the way these look. The front is great in the first two pictures, but the rear needs help.

I saw one of these kits in person this summer at Autobahn CC. I agree the front looks pretty good, but the rear just made me nauseous; way out of proportion. It didn't help that the car was painted a metallic flake red....kit car give-a-way. Might as well have a Laser GT...

(It does look like the 2010 cover car)

Tell me when to stop...

Seafeye:

Excellent photos. Thanks for sharing.

Here is a photo of an aluminum bodied, "continuation" of the original Shelby Cobras for Djomlas and Rick3000. post-6627-1194305207_thumb.jpg

Owner told me he was into it for a little over $150K so far, and that he had to wait 15 months for delivery of the aluminum body and kit from Shelby. The color is called "Viking Blue."

I have more photos if you want to see them, let me know.

Regards, Maurice.

Make mine a tractor.

A Porsche tractor of course....

Here is how to build a Carrera GT.

Haha - great pic TP! Where the heck did you find a tractor around here?

Speaking of the boxster--GT "conversion", I agree that the front looks nice, but the back is unnhhhh. Maybe I will get a larger trunk space in the back, but thats about it. I re-read the road and track half-page article on the 2010 boxster - they do not mention getting any direct info from porsche. Most of the wording appears to indicate pure speculation on their part. I would not be surprised if they took a look at the boxster--GT kit cars when putting together their pics.
