]MY99 c2 cab top has started just started to move very slow and make loud whining noises while operating. The windows operate at good speed and side flaps appear normal too. The deck lid and top opening and closing is where it seems to be the loudest and slowest. its almost as if something is putting a heavy strain on the mechanism. The top does operate from start to finish and vicde versa however much slower that in te past

Id appreciate any advice or experience in this...can this be fixed DIY?

Thanks-Pj

thanks izzy, thats exactly what the solution was. the resevoir was 1/2 empty and after filling it... opening and closing a few times got it sounding good and moving quick.

appreciate the advice

Glad it worked out. I forgot to say your top may be low on hydraulic fluid, not you. You never know when someone will drink that stuff

hey everybody the top has been working good since, but i notice the flaps have been slow if not opened can closed for a few days. dirty rails?separate resevoir?

also, my top will not function with the switch. i did try it with the door key and that works. all your hear is a click from the top when using the switch. the parking light brake is off when its up but turns all the lights/bulbs work before starting

thanks pj
