The control box is not for self leveling. Self leveling was only available from the factory.

The control boxes you have allow the rotation of the low beam (Xenon) to combine with the high beam Halogen.

Some folks don't install them since they rarely use the high beams.

Ah, so its only if i want to use high-beams??? Tell me what i can and cant do with and without the control box please, lay it all out for me.

Pretty much what I already said.

The control boxes rotate the low beam Xenons up to add light to the high beam Halogens. You get added light/distance with the high beams.

The control boxes are not used for anything else that I am aware of.

That is cool!

I am actually sort of hoping something like this happens to me, I would love to upgrade to Litronics, and my bumper needs a new coat of paint.

:D

Trust me, as cool as it seems... It always sucks bad the first day you see your car raped no matter how much you will benifit from it. hahahaha

Thanks Loren, I like the idea of that, Ill install that control box, cause I do drive up into Palm Springs on the 10 and high beams are needed on certain parts between the mountain or hills.

Thanks for your help guys, I bought a set of Litronics from a craigslist ad and picked them up myself, nice guy too. They came with the self leveling control box and the wire harness to hook it up. I should have my car back from the paintshop friday! :renntech:

Heres a picture of one of the headlights.

Carlos:

That's good news.

When you get the car back and put the lights in, make sure you update your car's photo at the bottom of your messages. LOL.

Regards, Maurice.

Although it's an old topic, but you are not allone. MY01 C2 had the head lights stolen before my ownership. When I bought the car, I got the history of claims and I found that the insurance had paid CAD5500 in total to replace 2 headlights, repaired the damaged paint and replaced a new window shield.

A pair of HID headlights worth about CAD2000 on craigslist and costed insurance CAD1600 each to replace.

What is funny in Canada (B.C.) is that you have to disclose damage over $2000 to the buyer.

I sold a Ferrari 355 to a guy and had to tell him about the prior "Damage" history.

Of course a vehicle with a damage history is worth less $$$.

The claim was for a new windshield. $2500.
