can't be pulled up anymore. I just switched my handbrake lever out and the adjustment I initially set was 7 clicks, which I thought was too much so I adjusted it down to 5. Forgot to check before I started, so I need your help.

Service manual says: "The handbrake must be adjusted if the handbrake lever can be pulled up by more than 4 teeth with medium force application (without a braking effect)!"

So that means if I just start to get feedback and braking effect at around 4-5 clicks i'm ok. with a max height/engagement of 6-7 clicks with effort. yes?

What Boxster do you have?

This is on my 2003 996.

Should be the same as a 986S which has the same brakes and rear "shoe" parking brake configuration.

I quoted you spec. If it works it works.

If you run out of travel then you will need to adjust at the rear wheels.
