seatbelt rattle/removal tips?

I've got an annoying rattle that i've traced to the drivers side belts cartridge/drum in the rear panel. Theres a wire connected to it which i assume is for firing the pretensioners, does anybody know if theres any specific instructions for following before removing it or is it just a case of disconecting the battery first? Has anybody else had this or a similair problem? thanks sc :)

As of MY02 all 911 models are fitted with belt tensioners and belt-force tensioners. The pyrotechnic ball belt tensioner is combined with the belt-force limiter in one unit.

Yes, disconnect the battery and remove the key from the ignition. Wait at least 5 minutes before proceeding.

The electrical connection (fuse/trigger) to the seat belt reel will likely need a screwdriver to remove it.

If the belt fires the tensioner then it will have to be replaced.
