Just moved to Lafayette, Indiana. Because the nearest dealer is now an hour away in Indianapolis and I'm not familiar with any of the shops in town, I thought I'd break out the tools and spend some time under the car.

Have a 996 C2 Cab and planning on doing a maintenance day, would welcome help, knowledgeable company or anyone else looking to do the same. I plan on storing the car for the snowy season and wanted to get it done before it gets too cold.

Let me know if you are interested and what days would work for you. I'm retired so my calendar is pretty open (including weekdays), but need to schedule in advance and the next two weekends are booked up for me.

Also looking for advice on any local shop recommendations for major / minor mechanical and in need of an upholstery shop recommendation for some seat work.

Thanks

I just spent $1800 at that shop this afternoon getting a new instrument cluster put in. Tom Wood is a great dealership and Jeremy Rodecap in service really goes out of his way to help (hooked me up with a set of snow tires for my C2). Just don't buy parts from them and let them charge you twice that of MSRP like they usually try to do. Been able to buy stuff at MSRP after I said that I could easily buy it online for that price.

Sorry, no help for your maintenance day though as I'm pretty new to the Porsche world. :)

That's Funny I was just at the dealership yesterday picking up a new turn signal combination switch for my p-car too! I have to hold my stalk to get the left trun signal to work. Glad I checked pricing online before I ordered the part so they couldn't mark up like you mentioned. Pays to be smart about these things I guess. Had no problems with the dealer and the parts guys were nice enough.

Thanks for the input.
