Get a RemoteKey, you restore that function plus many others, inc. beep on remote key. remote window open and close, trunk delay, etc.

I'm curious about the window behavior too. Can someone chime in as to why it's designed this way (and described as such in the owners' manual)? Safety?

From what I have heard, yes, its a safety feature. guess they figure your kid's arm or chihuahua's head is safer if you have to actually hold the switch till halfway. what about utilizing technology similar to garage doors that will reverse the direction if a certain load is applied to the window in question.
