PSE Switch or No Switch!?!?

what up? i've been researching this PSE mod/hack for a while now and still have no idea between the difference of switch or no switch. is it just a sound thing to control? i'm going to do the mod shortly here and would like advice on which way to go. i'm thinking im just going to do no switch for less complications and love the way it sounds, why even have the switch?

You can just replace the mufflers with the flaps safety wired open and all is fine. I did include the switch to have the option to be stealthy, but not the speed sensor wire that turns the PSE quiet at a specific speed.

The electric part of the PSE work is a bit demanding because of the work under the dash and it is a tight fit to put everything neatly back, but very doable.

Another thing to think about is to add the dimming rear view mirror and the rain sensor while you are working on the electrical part of the PSE.

I do not know of any US law that would require the switch. The law here only requires it to be below a certain db level - and that is only in some states.

My PSE did not trigger the noise sensors at Laguna Seca - and they are the tightest track I know of. Except for a few professional races per year you have to run "street legal" db levels.

If you wire the flaps other than what they are as default (which IS open) then the PSE will always be quiet. Why would you do that? The PSE sounds like a stock exhaust in quiet mode.

Loren, where does wiring flaps come in to play if there no switch install? i plan on getting U-shaped 2 1/4" piping 16 gauge and welding the two extra pipes in place. you did not do this procedure?
