Hi folks- a quick question on battery maintainers. I have 99 C2; once the bad weather begins to come into VA in a couple months, my car will be driven much less. My question is, at what point of non-use should you utilize a battery maintainer? If you drive the car once a month, is it necessary? Once every 6 weeks? Two months? Or should you use one even if you drive it every week or two? Thanks in advance for all advice!

I plug mine in if I know I will not be driving the car for a few (more than 3-4) days. I store my car for the winter (late October through late March) and it stays plug in this entire time.

I store mine from around nov 1 to mid march... I store mine in the garage, but start it up every two weeks and let it run for about 10-15 min.

From what I understand, use the battery maintainer even if you are not going to be driving for just a few days. I recently purchased one of the Battery Minder Plus versions which also de-sulphonates the battery. Over a period of a couple of days, it fully charged the battery and then began the de-sulphonation cycle. It does seem like my battery is stronger. And it is easy to use (cigarette lighter adapter).

Regards,

Kirk
