I am trying to fabricate my own rear speaker kit...and was wondering if anyone has, by any chance, the template of the panels that "attach" the speakers to the rear storage compartment...

Thank you so much.

The speakers simply replace the two small storage boxes in the compartment, so use those as your template. The face of the speaker enclosure is the same as the box opening.

One of the local owners bought aftermarket speaker brackets that were cut out of sheet plastic. They were for 2 instead of 4 speakers. I traced the shape on a piece of paper, but this was so long ago I don't remember what I did with the tracing.

Thanks Tool Pants,

I am also installing two speakers and not 4...I will try to scale up the picture you attached and see if I can get somewhere.

I have one question: I was thinking about using wood to build the frame. Do you think plastic is better? What type of stores would sell plastic sheets? Is Home Depot an alternative?

Thanks again,

Gustavo

Here is another picture. This was Henry's car. The top ones with the single hole is what he used.

You could try a plastic shop. In our area there is TAP Plastics but the are mostly California. Don't see why you could not use wood if you find the right thickness.
