Well time has come for me to replace my F & R rotors and pads. Sensor came on today.

Not looking to spend a ton of cash because I'm in the process of moving. Any one bought off ebay before and had good results on the product?

I see some DRT Performance rotors on there for just a little over 350, the seller is listed as brakpro.

I found f & R pads and sensors for another 125.00. Which is much cheaper them OEM rotors and pads from porsche.

Just wanted to see if any one had brought from them, or if any one has suggestions on a good place to purchase rotors and pads.

thanks

Give board sponsor Sunset Imports a call before you go aftermarket. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I got DRT rotors and I am happy with them. I have had them on for about 10k miles and the coating still leaves them nice and shiny (with no rust).

I bought mintex pads rotors and sensors off of ebay. Had them installed by Porsche specialist. Front brakes squeak, one of the rears had a scraping sound for a long time. Installer said it was because not OEM, and rear rotors not smooth. From now on I will probably go with sunset.

I also think a common problem with aftermarket rotors are that the hats rust. This is not a problem with OEM. Just something to consider.

i have been using DRT rotors for a couple years now and they are great. i paid $300 for all 4.

DRT buys Zimmerman (OEM) rotors and drills holes in them/powder coats them/paints them, etc.

i painted my rotor hats with hi-temp spray paint. supposedly my hats were not supposed to rust, but since i painted them before i put them on the car, i have no idea if they would have.

so +1 for me. their prices and products are great.

as for the pads/sensors, eBay has plenty. i think i paid $100 total for both F+R pads (Mintex Red Box) and sensors, and that was a good price.

Chris, you painted the DRT rotors? The ones I got had coated hats and they still look great after many miles and many rainstorms.

I got the DRT's as well and I am very happy with them. Have had them at 4 DE's and they performed flawlessly. They threw in a set of Mintex pads for $100.00 as well with the rotors. Excellent seller, very good experience.

I did not have such a good experience with All German Parts on Ebay. The shipping charges were really high even after emailing them. They knocked them back a few dollars but it was still excessive in my opinion. I had just got the car, didn't know where to go and I needed the parts in a hurry so I paid it but I won't buy from them again.
