Actually it cost me $75 at the dealer to activate it. I installed 2 cd changer for my friend already. One of them i just plug it in and it work right away, but the second one i need to have the dealer activate it with the computer. The one that i can plug and play i notice that the cap that goes over the prewire fiber optic plug in the trunk is different than the one that i have to get the dealer to activate. The one that i can plug and play the cap on the fiber optic have a tip on it that seem to loop the two fiber line going to the plug. The one that i have to activate had just a plain black plastic cap. I think any Porsche Cayenne that has a prewire fiber optic running to the back that has a plug with the tip on it is alread cd changer program in, but i'm not sure. I got to wait until i work on another car.

The one you have in the trunk with the loop means that the ring is closed CD reader or not, if you install a reader you have to announce him on the system with the PIWIS to prevent problems afterwards.

The other one is not connected to the ring ( there is no red light when you look in to the connector, right? ) it means that you have to make a connection, find the other end of the fiber and make the connection on the telephone module or the PCM. You need connectors for the junction and look out the fibers have a direction, at the end announce the reader to the system.

I would make a guess that the second one was an ealry 03 MY
