I'm a bit confused and need some help. Found the expansion tank for sale on ebay at this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-Box...sspagenameZWD1V

Doing some research before I contact Sunset. Anyways, I know this tank has had some revsions so I suspeted that tank is not the latest as the part number is 996.106.147.07 and the online parts (US) here shows it SS'd by 996.106.147.08.

Here is my question...

Everyone is commenting these tanks are $220+ from posts and online price searches. Obviously it will be early next week before I get Sunset to comment...why does this only show $70.00!!!!

Has the price dropped recently due to the million and one failures of these...ya know the economics of the part have brought it down!

Or am I just getting this part search all wrong? Comments?

The .07 vs. .08 may only be because the .08 has a plug where the dip stick goes.

I am almost positive the tank the parts guy showed me last year had a 987 part number.

Then, Porsche likes to play around with part numbers.
