Does anyone know if the exhaust tip from a 986 will fit a 987? I'd like to retrofit a 986 "s" tip on my 987.....I don't care for the single outlet.

At first I didn't like the single outley look either, but I have grown to like it.

As for the swap, you would have to measure or try it on for size...

The tips from a 2003-2004 986 will not fit on a 987. Different exhaust/muffler design.

There are various tips for the 987 and Cayman that you can use.

This is the standard dual tip for a 987 S, which also fits on the base 987. The single or dual outlet is purely cosmetic.

Thanks for the info Toolpants.

Yes, the aftermarket tips are expensive....running in the $800 range....ouch.

I may go for the Cayman S tip, can be had for about $250 or so I believe. I don't like the Boxster S tip. I prefer the dual round look as opposed to the dual oval look......

Forget the cayman S tips unless its the tequipment round items. On a boxster the rear apron is a different shape to the cayman so the cayman square tips just look odd and out of place. If you are handy with a welder you could always buy a pair of used carrera tips and make up a new outlet , or just go for the boxster s tips.
