Here's the situation. Driving along, sun roof open, perhaps windows open too. Suddenly, for not obvious reason, everything closes. Happens without any warning and without any immediately apparent pattern (so, quite a lot of the time, everything's fine). It's been going on for a few months and it seems that the circumstances when it's most likely to happen are when descelerating or as a result of going over a bump in the road (both at about the 30 mph mark). So I wondered if it might have anything to do with a tiilt sensor somewhere not behaving as it should. Anybody had an experience of this or able to provide some suggestions as to where the problem might lie?

Try key 2 and compare the result, if it is still the same you need the PIWIS for testing the alarm and comfort control box.

Key 2?

FYI, the alarm control unit was replaced I am not expecting it to be that (at least, not in terms of a fault).

When RFM says "Key 2" I think he is referring to the other ignition key that came with your car.

Thanks for that. As it happens, both keys were replaced with the ACU, and the problem isn't new (it happened before replacing the ACU), so trying the other key "can't" be the solution.

Any more ideas out there?
