Whining noise after hard braking and turning steering wheel

I just started hearing a whining noise coming from the car which seems to get louder after hard braking or if I'm standing on an incline (at least this is what I think is happening). The whine is almost like a tranny whine that you hear on most manual cars going in reverse.

The pitch of the whine goes up and down as the revs on the car goes up and down. When the whine happens, I can feel a slight vibration on the brake pedal.

Any ideas on what this could be?

The car is a 2002 C2 Cab w/ 27k miles.

Time to look for a leak...

BTW... use only Pentosin CHF 202 (it Pentosin supersedes 11S and can be mixed).

just for knowledge, how does 202 supersede 11S?

They don't make 11S anymore 202 replaced it.

Look for the leak!

There is a steering rack in the front of the car (and there are plastic belly pans that could hide the leak.

There are line that travel from the steering box (in the front) to the pump in rear of the car. And then there is the pump itself.
