I am selling my car now and the person doing a PPI on my car is saying that the car has been resprayed. I knew nothing of this when I bought the car as a CPO in 2004. The dealer is saying to me that Porsche allows up to 2 panels per side to be resprayed and still allow them to CPO the car. Is this true?

Front what I've seen on the lots of Porsche dealers - some used cars that are CPO look like they definitely had work done to the front bumper or in some cases the hood, to restore them and remove small rock chips. That wouldn't bother me at all. So what's been resprayed?

From my knowledge/experience most Porsche dealers will respray bonnet and front bumper if any evidence of stone chips. If rear bumper and lower sides (under door) are skuffed by 'shoes' they will also 'flash' them. All ofcourse by a Porsche 'official' body repair centre, which will then be covered by a 10 year warrantee if checked every year by the repair centre. This is in UK anyway.
