Anybody out there,

We have a 2002 Boxster. The backup lights won't come on. I replaced the bulbs with new ones. All the other lights come on all right, so I can probably exclude a burnt fuse. Should I check anything else before I start to worry about the switch (the one controlled by the stick)? Any other suggestion on how to narrow down the source?

If it is the swicth, do you have suggestions/instructions to fix it myself?

I saw an old thread on the Carrera's forum, but I was wondering if anybody has something more specific for a Boxster.

Thanks :)

Dan (just using my wifes subscription...)

It is the same as the Carrera the transmission just faces the other direction. Part number for a Boxster is: 996.606.113.00 -- MSRP $43.62.

Likely much less at Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost).

Thank you, Loren!

I went back to the Carrera tread, which points to a DIY by dhphil66. Could not find his original instructions. I tried to email him directly, but I've got no answer, yet. Any idea where to get this info?

Thanks :) ,

Dan
