I need an additional ignition key for my 1999 C2 and my friendly Porsche dealers quotes me something around 350 dollars including programming. Any alternatives for the key without remote buttons or for the key with remote buttons? Anybody has a spare one they want to sell ? I live in the Bay area ( San Francisco). Thanks

the head is 100 and the key with cut is another 50, the programming should be another 50- call sunset porsche

Is Sunset Porsche local to me ( Foster City/ San Mateo in California). I understand , they ( the dealer) need the car to ensure that the programming is done correctly. Appreciate your input. Thanks

Hey,

You should check ebay if you want to find inexpensive porsche keys. I saw an auction recently for 2 911 keys and 1 boxster key (with 2 buttons) (3 keys total) for $150. I think it's still active too (3/19/04).

As has been said, watch out for ebay remote keys. Worthless without the 24 digit paper tag.

Key learning code comes from from - Atlanta.

They do need your car. Cannot program otherwise.
