PSM and ABS lights keeps on lighting up?

i am driving a 996 turbo.... my lights for the psm and abs keeps on coming up after driving a while... i have change the MAF sensors and sensor for the abs but its still comes out... worse of all when this happen the rpm starts to be unstable and sometimes stall...sigh.... can anyone help me or has this problem??? could the be due to the alternator since it supply current to the sensors and if the vltage is not stable it will bring on the lights.... please help.....or advise cheers terence :huh:

Have you checked your brake light switch?

A bad brake light switch can cause the same anomaly.

Step on the brake while someone else checks your rear brake lights. If they don't light up then either the switch is bad or it needs adjustment.

you mean a badbrake like switch will cause the dash lights of the abs and psm to light up??? and engine rpm to be unstable???

Yes, a bad brake light switch will cause both ABS and PSM lights to come on.

Your engine RPM stability is likely a different problem.

To follow up, brake light was fine. Mine was a simple fix. My mechanic told me to turn the car on in Park, turn the wheel all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, then center the wheel again. Turn the car off, then on again and drive. The light went off. Must have been a slightly loose wire, but it worked.

To follow up, brake light was fine. Mine was a simple fix.
