2008 Boxster

I have a 2008 Boxster being delivered to the dealer in the next 3 days (August 6th) Does any one know if the car will have Direct injection, LED tail lights, LED driving lights, and the revised front and rear fascias? The porsche customer rep initially told me the 2008 was the asme as the 2007, but when I sent her car magazine articles with spy shots and the new tech details, she called Germany and they confirmed my car would have the Direct injection, and LED features. Has any one received a 2008 Boxster yet and been able to confirm the equipment?

the specs for your 08 are on the official website now.....looks like none of those things made it in. sweet car nevertheless, i have the alcantara steering wheel and it makes a huge difference i the driving experience.

Thanks so much for the info. You were correct, I got my 2008 boxster yesterday and it is basically identical to the 2007. I'm partially relived because I was leery of getting the first week's production on the direct injection.

Although within 12 hours of picking up the car, I parked it on a not so good street and a drunk smashed in the rear trunk lid. It will be repaired soon, and I got most of the dent pushed out so it doesnt look terrible until I get the new trunk lid.

I took delivery of my '08 two weeks ago -- no changes, same as '07. i think the pictures on the web and associated information will not occur till '09 model.
