Help Identifying Correct RoW M030 Springs?

Hi guys,

Found a set of used RoW M030 shocks/struts to install on my 2002 C2 996 manual. The previous owner had these sold to him by Carnewal for the same exact car. Looking over the famous PCA suspension comparison article, I see that my car should have a green+white dot in one part of the spring, and a green or white dot alone at the other end to indicate "tolerance group". These springs have the green+white indicating they are for my car, but the top dot is orange (or maybe brown). I have never seen reference to the orange (brown) tolerance group. I have done a bunch of research and have found no mention of this code. Can anyone identify what that odd colored dot in the "tolerance group" location code means? I just want to make sure these are right for me before I head off and pay the $$$ for install and alignment. I have attached a photo of 1/2 the set.

Anyone have any thoughts to share?

I'd double check the part numbers... I just purchased a RoW M030 kit from Sunset and the front springs have white and green dots at "A" and a white dot at "B". I found this at a 993 site:

993 Factory springs part numbers:

M030 ROW front: 965.343.531.01 (orange/green dots)

M030 ROW rear: 993.333.531.11 (brown dots)

I don't have the part number on my front spring at hand (and I can't find it on the assembled strut).

Thanks for the info Peter....I will check into that. I still haven't found anyone that knows what the orange tolerance code means....Gert hasn't gotten back to me with the exact details on where the orange falls into place when comparing to the green and white tolerance codes. When I get time later this week I am going to go over everything and see what kinds of measurements I can take on the various components to verify id. It just sits a little funny with me when everyone agrees that green/white means 996 C2 cab, but nobody has an explanation as to what in the heck an orange tolerance code means......so I guess I do still have some level of concern on these.

THE ISSUE IS FINALLY SOLVED!!! I am so happy. After trying everyone from forum experts, to dealers, to Porsche corporate, I finally found someone that could confirm the color changes on the RoW M030 tolerance code. A very helpful expert informed me that in 2002, they changed the tolerance group colors to Blue (for the old green) and Orange (for the old white). My understanding is that the model ID color codes stayed the same. I can finally put this thing to rest! Thanks for all the thoughts and inputs guys!
