Hi All,

In an evening of supreme over-confindence, I've managed to remove my H&R coilover system and replace them with the stock parts. Front end went fine. Removed rear coilovers, re-assembled the stock struts without trouble. I've run into trouble re-mounting the strut. As the driveshaft/rear arms seem to want to be level and obviously the strut wants to be extended, it's tough to get the lower mounting bolt aligned. I'm assuming that I need to detach one of the suspension links - but which one? Or is there an alternate method?

Hail self reliance! Well, almost...

Thanks for any help!

we found that buy wiggling it a bit it just dropped in - sorry if this is vague.. but mine went back together really easily...

I can get it to drop in. The problem is that the hole in the shock it lower than the hole in the suspension arm. If I try to compress the shock with a jack, it just raises the arm and the shock. I'm only missing by about 3-4 mm. Arg!

When I did mine, I used a long breaker bar to gently push the lower suspension arm down in order to install the bolt. Good Luck! Lou

Between the lower suspension trailing arm and the actual chassis, right below the CV joint, you just want to gently lower the suspension arm... Lou

Did it!

Thanks everyone for you help.

Thanks for the photo, too.

Hope I can return the favor some day!
