I have on order a pair of illuminated door sills for my c2s from sunset porsche

i have reviewed everything I could find on the sill install but most posts refer to the tsb which entails

removing the door trim to get power and it also refers to many workshop pages that I do not have access to, it also instructs you to

remove the entire door weatherstrip!!

Has anyone done this the easy way by tapping into the footwell light? And would you share some tips on doing this job?

I can see how the inner door jamb covers are removed the part where the hole needs to be drilled to route the wire

and have read that the sills should be heated and pried up.

What puzzles me is how to run the wire for the light under the door weatherstrip and how to route the wires

from the drilled hole to the connection point - can the wire be fed under the carpeting on the passenger side?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

George K
