I just installed the Litronic retrofit kit on my '00 996, overall the install was very staightforward. Everything works fine except I have no parking light or turn signal on the passenger side front. All the bulbs look ok and the fuses are good. Any thoughts??? Am I going to have to take it in?:(

Doug,

I've seen this happen a couple of times before. Take the light out and double check the pins on both the plug and socket. Make sure none are bent or pushed out of their holders.

Thanks loren, do you mean the pins on the light assemby itself or the extra litronic wiring harness? Thanks

I mean the pins on the headlight assembly and the socket they plug into in the opening. You may need a flashlight to see the socket well inside the opening. I usually give a slight tug to see if any of the wires are loose in the socket too. If they are then they push out and don't make contact when you push the headlight in.

I don't see anything loose in there on initial inspection, but this would make the most sense. Ill keep checking. Thanks.

Ahhhh! That finally got it. I turned the parking lights on and kept sliding the light assembly in and out using the tool from the kit and it seemed to intermttently work. I played with it for a while until I found a happy place. But I can't say I'm 100% pleased, I bet the contact is just barely hanging together. I'll see how it goes for the next few days. Thanks again Loren.
