Specs for US/Canadian markets

Hello. I'm new to this so please bear with me.

I have a Boxster (MY03/2.7/LHD/Tiptronic) which was bought in the Middle East - where I currently live. I'm now looking to move to Canada. However, I understand that the specifications for Canadian vehicles are unique and that there are strict regulations governing imported vehicles.

As I suspect is the case with most owners, I really love my car and would be most upset to have to part with it.

Can anybody help in advising the differences in specifications between Canadian and (say) European specced Porsches, and whether there are modifications that can be made to comply with Canadian specifications.

I glanced at the PDF. There is an excise tax of CAN$100 if the imported vehicle has air conditioning....

In addition to contacting them, I'll see if Porsche are prepared to shed light on what the differences in spec are.
