HEY GUYS, My boxster is do for a oil change. It's a 98 with 90,000 miles. whats a good grade of oil. I live in canada so the cars only on the road 6 months a year, with a average outside temp,

any reason you don't want to stick w/ what Porsche recommends (Mobil 1 0W40)?

Thanks for the info. I only had the porsche a little over year, and with the miles i have on it . My brother has a 2002 S, He recommends 5w40? Thats why i'm asking. So i should stay with 10w40 mobil 1 ok Thanks!

Both are 0W-40 and 5W-40 (synthetic) oils are approved.

That list is out of date.

The current list is dated April 11, 2007.

Good to know. Presume the updates are mostly additions to and maybe an occasional deletion which is no longer available, right? Or is there something more pertinent?
