I've no idea how it happened (well it wasn't me but noone else is owning up!) but I have a small dent in the rear bumper steel strip on my MY04 Cayenne.

It's such a small dent that it should be possible to knock out. Can anyone give any advise on how to remove the strip? Is it a straightforward job or is it one of those 20 step procedures where almost the whole rear bumper needs disassembling before you can get to the right clips?

Thanks

You might be able to do by removing the lower valance, but that means detaching it from the upper. I would look for someone who has changed the valance for a TT valance on an S, for the procedure. I am sure once removed you should be able to get to the Alu strip

Its not hard to remove the bumber but its more that 20 steps and a PIA to do as you have to remove the clusters without damage.

Heres the best way
