I bought one of the little red clips that fits somwhere in the area of the sun visor when you want to activate the infared part of the alarm system when the top is down, but i don't have a clue as to exactly how it is used. I've done a Forum search without being able to find anything, so any input from the mebership would be appreciated.

Fits here when you have the top down and enables the interior sensors when you lock the car (Some people paint it black as you can see):

It is clips into the spot where your soft top connects to the windsheild frame top (if it were closed). Here's a picture

Mine works but for some reason the alarm won't go off when something enters the vehicle. I know it works because it makes the windows go up and the sensor on the dash turns on. I can't find anything in the owners manual. Is there a setting that can be changed so that the alarm will sound when something enters the cabin?

You dont need the clip, simply reach over and depress the button where the clip fits, press the remote to lock the car then release the button, this activates the interior sensors.

Great input & many thanks to all those that replied. I never cease to be amazed by the amount of tribal knowledge available on this Forum for those of us new to the world of Boxsters.
