I'm new to the Boxster (a 2001) and considering the Bentley's Boxster service manual for $100. Are there any opinions availble about this product or better deals on it or alternative service manual choices?

I love my Bentley manual. Porsche manuals mystify me at times. Maybe translations are just awkward. You can get Bentley thru this site's Amazon store for best price I've seen. And RennTech benefits.

just sent you a PM about the Bentley manual which IMHO is pretty good. Enjoy your new to you Boxster.

poses is more complete, not only for 1 model.

I have POSES and it has the same service information as the Porsche Factory workshop manuals which I also have for all models. I have the Bentley printed manual and the Porsche workshop manuals on CD. The workshop CDs I have for the BOXSTER cover all years, all models and are about 5 times the size of the Bentley manuals. Bentley has limited wiring and electrical info but the I have all wiring diagrams for each year of the 986 and I also have the OBDII manuals , TSBs, Techniks and more while the Bentley manual has no OBDII info, no TSB info, ...

I also have the current Porsche dealer PET which is the complete detailed parts info on every Porsche.

BTW POSES is more complete for service as it has labor times and campaigns but it doesn't have wiring diagrams.

If anyone is looking for the complete service info PM me please.

I like all data.

For less than $30, you even get the TSB's, parts diagrams, labor costs...

Alldata doesn't compare to the Porsche factory manuals. For an easy comparison ALLDATA has a CD/DVD system for shops and on one DVD has many makes but if I put my collection of workshop manuals, wiring diagrams, TSBs it would take about 30 gigs.

Hey and check out this link from ALLDATA for the 1990 964.

and all other Porsche links are the same deadend.
