we cannot get the fan 1st or 2nd speed to work, even with systems tester. Anyone with a similar symptom? thanks Mark

Hmm... they are separate fuses too. Unlikely that both fans or ballasts would die at the same time.

Can you turn on the purge fan (engine compartment)?

Almost makes me think there is a DME problem...

I would first check the relays and pin out the connectors to the fans, making sure you have good ground and batt supply. If the relays are both not working

then you need a wire diagram to analyze the circuit and determine if ineed the dme is the problem. Dme is very expensive so you must be sure of your

diagnosis.

To bad you arent close to san pedro ca. Id help you out, I used to work at the dealer.

This problem is why I reached out. It seems unusual. Client bought car in Fla then drove it up North. obviously on highway it's ok. But, with fan speeds not working car overheated as they slowed down in traffic. Tester cannot get speed one or two to work. engine fan works. fuses are ok. WAS hoping someone heard of this problem. ****, one day I'll get a break on one of these diagnostic problems, without doing the work myself:-) thanks for helping anyway-Mark

Mark Im just curious, do you hear the fan relays clicking at all when you activate the fan.
