... my friend and I are going in on a '71 Targa we found through a friend of mine ... he's the master mechanic behind the operation ... I'm the crazy car girl who's eager to learn ... we're both Subaru owners and new to Porsche ... should be exciting :)[

I'm in Central Florida (right across the water from where the launch the space shuttles) ... I've known about the car for years, my old boss just finally convinced himself to get rid of all the stuff that is all over his property ... he lives in South Carolina now and sent me over to the house to take pictures to ebay some of his stuff for him ... I was taking pictures and called him and asked how much for the Porsche ... he gave me a number that we could live with and we said "SOLD!" ...

... we get a "free" 1969 911E with the car, but that one has been sitting out back for about 10 years and has been vandalized (some kids broke out the glass, lights, everything) ... I think the wheels might be salvageable ... that's about it though ...

... my old boss had a tendency to buy things that "just need _______" to make them work again, thus the reason he has 4 tractors, 4 boats, and an entire landfill's worth of other stuff ...

Once we get it out of the garage, I'll start a thread with updates about our progress (if anyone cares) ... should be a good time. :)
