CD storage

Recommended Posts

To remove the CD storage tray - open the CD tray and remove all the CDs. Then grab both sides with your hands and pull.

There might be a snap when it comes out - but that is how it is removed.

More detail on the replacement "shelf" is here

Grab both sides of a tray?

Thanks

Yes, just pull.

Thanks - is the cavity a useful space w/o the shelf part?

Curious as I may have time to remove it today but obviously can't get parts and don't want to have an ugly gaping hole in the dash.

I appreciate your help.

That was probably the easiest thing I've ever done to a Porsche!

Purchased part from dealer, that evening went out to asess difficulty in removing cd storage unit and it popped out in my hand with hardly any effort, slipped the storage shelf in and that was it. 5 minutes max!

Thank you for the information and advice.
