19"wheels

Hallo!

What is the right offset on 19-8.5" and 19-10"wheels.

I tried to search but did not find,anybody know?

Porsche has never spec'ed 19" wheels for the 996 -- only the 997 (987, Cayman, 997GT3, and 997 TT).

For those wheels and the narrow body 997 they are:

Front - 55 mm

Rear - 67 mm

with a 235/35 x19 tire in front

I´m considering buying new wheels, and trying to decide between 18" and 19" ones.

I don´t want to shake my bladder too rigorously!

Terve! No I dont feel any difference,but I think the handling was better with 18"

Hi Mikke your car is realy cool...!

I just put deposit on a car in Hong Kong, similar start off point, 2000 C2 NB 911 cabriolet, black Mk1.

Can you tell me for your front and rear wheels, how much clearence do you have from (1) inside struts and wall (2) outer fender? I assume you didnt roll the fenders and not using any spacers?

The reason I ask is I have a set of wheels from my 987 boxster im dying to find out if i should try them on the car.

19x9 ET57 on 235/35

19x10.5 ET44 on 285/30 (tyres not yet purchased)

By my projections, i will need 5-10mm spacers on the front as my offset is too big.

And the rear it is a really right fit, my wheels will be sticking out another 2cm from you - so I doubt it will fit at all....

Your car looks fantastic! My question is, did you notice a substantial difference in handling either for the better or worse? I am considering 19s although I am a little concerned about taking some handling ability off the car and may just go with 18s.

i am about to have a second attempt to put 19"s on the car and fingers crossed.

2 weeks ago i tried to put my 19" gemballas from my 987 Boxster S and IT DID NOT WORK BY A MILLION MILES (it stuck out around one inch).

the specs of the wheels

19x9 ET57 on 235/35

19x10.5 ET44 on 285/30

it seems to me 19x 10.5 will only work with offset at least around 55-60

and the best is 19x10 on offset around 52-56.

will take some photos when im done (shooting for no spacers, no fender rolling).
