PCM-2 connector pinouts

Recommended Posts

I would like to pick up some signals from the the rear of the PCM-2 head unit. Can some one point me to the pinouts for the connectors? I have had a search but can't see anything obvious.

Thanks

Nick

Most ( get it MOST) of the connections on PCM2 are fiber optic.

That's great thanks. Can you advise if I disconnect the power does the PCM2 head unit need a code to unlock once the power is reinstated or is it coded to the car so ok? There doesn't seem to be any note of a radio code with the car for it.

Also do you know of anywhere easy to pick up permanent 12v and chassis near the rear of the head unit? I'm assuming that the connections marked A2, A4, A8 are the switched and permanent 12v and chassis in - but there might be somwhere easier to get 12v from?

I'd like to say just how helpful this site has been and has answered so many questions I have had about my 996 TT.

I don't recall any codes for PCM2 - but some PCM2 owner can verify that.

The easiest place to pick 12 volts is the phone prep connector (if you car has one).

Since the car has the integrated phone it doesn't look like it has this connector. Where would be the next best place to get power from?

Thanks
